Wrestlemania Tickets Released and Available

WrestleMania 23 tickets were released today according to a WWE presss release. A wave of 5,000 tickets went on sale following set production decisions. Following the original on-sale, roughly 50,000 tickets for WrestleMania 23 were snatched up by noon the same day they went on sale.

Check the market if you are thinking of investing.

With WrestleMania 23, the WWE is trying to break the Ford Field attendance record, which was set in December 2003 when 78,129 people attended the BasketBowl between Michigan State University and the University of Kentucky. Wrestlemania already holds the record in other venues including Safeco Field.

The last time the event was held in the Motor City - WrestleMania III - 93,173 fans watched Hulk Hogan body slam Andre the Giant at the Pontiac Silverdome.

The Dave Matthews Band will travel to Las Vegas, Nevada for two concerts in March of 2007.

The Dave Matthews Band Las Vegas concert details are as follows:

Dave Matthews Band Fan Club ticketing for their Australian spring tour opens this week with restrictions. Tickets for the Dave Matthews Band Australian tour will only be available to Warehouse (DMB Fan Club) members with billing addresses that are located OUTSIDE of the United States. U.S. billing addresses will not be granted tickets according to the fan club.

Apparently, de la Hoya Mayweather tickets are already on sale! De la Hoya's promotion company, Golden Promotions claims to have already sold around 3,500 tickets over the phone to people wishing to see the fight.

According to a couple of web sites listed in Google news searches, Golden Boy is taking credit card information for de la Hoya Mayweather tickets, which are rumored to range from $350 to $2,000 for ringside seats.

The Mayweather De la Hoya odds have been set and Floyd Mayweather is the early favorite over the champ. Mayweather will be a 2-1 favorite. No Red Sox Ticket on sale info has been announced yet, (UPDATE! The on-sale date has been announced...check the comments of this post.) but we thought you might want to review dates from last year, since the annual pre-Christmas sale is likely happening soon.

The Spring Training ticket on sale is going to be December 2, a day earlier than last year's December 3 on-sale. Regular Season Red Sox tickets went on sale in the form of Sox Packs on December 10 last year.

Oscar de la Hoya Floyd Mayweather Fight Date Set

Update: Ticket Mayweather-de la Hoya ticket on sale date has been announced.

The Oscar de la Hoya Floyd Mayweather fight date has been set. The two will square off on May 5, 2007 in what is expected to be the biggest fight since Tyson-Holyfield.

What has not been announced is the location of the de la Hoya Mayweather fight. Previous reports have said the de la Hoya Mayweather bout will take place in either Vegas at the MGM Grand or at Los Angeles' Staples Center.

The LA Times recently reported that Staples Center has the upper hand in the bidding for the event.

De la Hoya will make a reported $25 million in the fight and Mayweather will take home about $10-12 million.

Betters beware as there is an interesting twist in this one. De la Hoya's trainer is Floyd Mayweather Sr. - the challenger's father! Floyd Sr. and Floyd Jr. have a public feud in recent years. Floyd Sr. has stated in the past that he would not, despite the feud, train anyone on how to knock his son out. He has apparently changed his mind.

Seems a little too sketchy for our money, but we will definitely enjoy watching this one. De la Hoya Mayweather tickets demand is expected to be off the charts.

With so many American Express presale events, we thought we would publish information on how to access them once, so you can gain access to tickets and we don't have to keep repeating ourselves.

If you would like more detailed information on the particular event presale you are seeking, please go to our home page and browse listings, use the search box at the top of this page or look for the artist label on the right hand side of this page.

So, here is the skinny on American Express presales:

The password is (or at least it has been for the last couple of years) AMEX or the 800 number on the back of your card. Type either of these presale passwords into the American Express presale password box. This will give you access to the presale, but you are still not done meeting requirements. You also need to pay for the tickets with an American Express card or else Ticketmaster will not process your order.

Please also note that these passwords will only work for American Express presales. Often, there will be multiple presales, and hence multiple passwords for one concert. If you try to enter either of these passwords in a different box (i.e. fan club presale, radio presale, venue presale, etc.) it will NOT work.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN American Express CARD, you unfortunately cannot access the presale, but have two other options:

1. Wait for another presale to happen a bit later in the week, as sometimes happens. Those passwords are typically available through our site. You can get instant updates on them by downloading our Ticket Toolbar.

Update: Apparently shortly after the presale started at noon, they changed the event info to "Special Event" instead of keeping Billy Joel's name on it. The date also changed to TBA, but it is sandwiched between two heat games on the 12th of February. Oscar de la Hoya Will Fight Floyd Mayweather

Update: Ticket Mayweather-de la Hoya ticket on sale date has been announced.

Citing a desire to fight the best in the world, Oscar de la Hoya accepted a challenge from Floyd Mayweather and will fight him to defend his junior middlewieght championship according to this article from ESPN.

The fight will take place at either the MGM Grand in Las Vegas or the Staples Center in Los Angeles on a date to be determined.

Josh Groban is going on tour again this holiday season. Tickets will go on presale through the Josh Groban Fan Club (Friends of Josh Groban or FOJG). A list of Josh Groban concert tour dates appears below. According to the Josh Groban Fan Club, if you are currently on the free month membership, you will not get access to presale tickets, so be sure you are a paid member. The cost of joining is $40 and you can join here.

There will be both a Target presale and Fan Club presale for most dates starting on the 15th and going through the 20th. The presales generally start simultaneously. Rolling Stones Tickets Discounted for Atlantic City show

The Rolling Stones are playing the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on Friday Nov. 17 and tickets just got discounted. If you buy the top price level ($450 each), you get $75 off each ticket. There are still tickets available on the floor and the side of the arena just about even with where the stage extends to. The password for this promotion is ACSTONES. You can purchase tickets here.

Red Hot Chili Peppers Fan Club Presales

The various Red Hot Chili Peppers Tickets that go on sale Tuesday are Fan Club presales. This means you will need to join the fan club (it costs $29.95) to get tickets early. The upside is the tickets will probably be better than anything you would get from the public sale on November 18.

It's definitely a slow time of the year, so we figured we'd fill your brains with a bit from our bank of goodies. For those of you who have not purchased them before, we suggest you take a look at the markets for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Tickets for the events are as low as $35 (don't buy the mad dash tickets until you read about them hereand find out exactly what they are.) But the mark-ups are incredible as you can see here.

As we are publishing this, the market for mad dash tickets for the last day of the race are doing much better on Stubhub than they cost of buying them at face value through the link above.

Coming quickly off the heels of the Wrestlemania presales, the WWE is now putting Royal Rumble tickets on sale for the annual extravaganza which will take place in San Antonio at the AT&T Center this year. The event is one of WWE's top three draws each year. The presale password is PILEDRIVER. This presale pass code can be used on ticketmaster.

Bob Dylan Presale Password for New York City Center

The presale password for Bob Dylan at New York City Center is FIORELLO. He will play there on Monday November 20. The password comes from Fiorello Laguardia, the man responsible for the venue. There is an "interesting" history of it on their website here, but the most important factoid ye all would be interested in is the fact that it holds under 2800 people. It currently houses ballet productions. Bob Dylan has not played there to our knowledge, but please let us know if that is not correct.
