Bon Jovi Announces New Jersey Concerts

Bon Jovi will play a run of 5 shows beginning October 25 at the new Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Other concerts have not yet been announced, but we will keep our ear to the ground.

For the first time ever, purchase of a digital download will be linked to every ticket purchase. That goes for presales and the "public sale". That means, for the

AMEX PRESALES
1. You still have to use and Ameerican Express Card to make the purchase.
2. You still have to use a password: AMEX or the 800 number on the back of you card.
3. You will get tickets and the new album Lost Highway from iTunes. You will have to pay for both.

Amex presales start on Tuesday.

ITUNES PRESALE / LOST HIGHWAY PACKAGE
We are assuming these are one in the same because they both start on Friday at 10 a.m. EST. If you have already pre-ordered Lost Highway, you should use your unique presale code in the box that we are guessing will appear by the iTunes presale quantity.

If you have not yet purchased the album, it will likely be a little easier for you as you will just need to select the quantity near the Lost Highway Package box with no password to enter. You will be charged for the download during checkout.



Unfortunately, judging by the wording on Ticketmaster, they are going to make you purchase one download per ticket. So if you buy four tickets, you will have to purchase four downloads...as if you need that many. At any rate, those are the rules.

If tickets remain, they will be sold without the digital downloads at a later date.

It looks like Bon Jovi might be touring this summer. There is one Canadian presale on Wednesday for Rexall Place in Edmonton. This concert will be a part of the Stage 13 - Revisited Festival, so it is not clear whether or not there will be a larger tour, but he is also playing Calgary on the 11th of July and Marcus Amphitheater as part of Summerfest on the 5th. Smells like a tour to us!

The tour would be in support of Bon Jovi's new album Lost Highway, which hits stores June 19.

Ryder Cup Ticket Application

The 37th Ryder Cup is slated for Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, KY on September 16-21, 2008. According to the PGA, the Ryder Cup is the most spirited, exciting and compelling event in all of golf. Over the course of 80 years, this international competition has involved the greatest players in the world and has definitely been the stage for some of the most memorable moments in pro golf history. They limit public ticket sales to make sure views are great for everyone. The PGA of America is selling all of its available ticket through this random draw. Good luck all.

Macy's Glamorama 2007

Chicago's own fashion show will take place at the Chicago Theatre on Friday August 24th. You can read about pre-parties and other ticketed events on the Chicago Theatre site here. This year's musical guests will be Gretchen Wilson, Big & Rich and Cowboy Troy, so it should be a slight more country feel than when Beyonce appeared last year.

Tickets go on sale on Ticketmaster - here - today at noon central and cost between $46.50 and $280.50.

Bob Dylan Presale Passwords

Bob Dylan has added a couple of dates to his summer tour schedule. He will play Red Rocks Amphitheatre on the 20th of April and that presale will use the password BUPKES. He will also play the Journal Pavilion in Albequerque on July 22. That presale also happens today and will use the password HABANERO.

The Format Presale Passwords

The Format is going on tour in July and August and tickets will go on presale today. The free presale password for all Format concerts is TIMEBOMB.

The Format is an Arizona based indie-alternative hybrid band that you may know from their appearance on My Super Sweet 16. They have also had two songs used on Laguna Beach. They signed their first record deal in 2002 and you can check them out on MySpace here.
