Coldplay Las Vegas (and other cities) Presale details released

Attention: You have reached a page about an old Coldplay concert tour. For information about the 2008 tour, including info on the free Coldplay concerts at Madison Square Garden and Brixton Academy, as well as Best Buy passwords and any other 2008 Coldplay presale passwords, please visit PresaleToday

Coldplay has confirmed that the Coldplay.com Fan Club presale for their Las Vegas show will indeed follow the pattern of the rest of the presales on the Twisted Logic Tour.

In their words "All the people who registered for pre-sale tickets and who were successful were sent codes 2 weeks ago. If you did not get a code then you were not successful in the random lottery for this pre-sale."

The above also applies to shows in the following cities:

Orlando
Los Angeles
Anaheim

Ottawa and Milwaukee are different. The password for These two cities is a general password and will be "raindog" without the quotes.

If you missed your chance to get a password, DON'T WORRY. Everything's not lost!
If a general password is announced for any other cities we will update this blog IMMEDIATELY. The best way to get that info quickly is to subscribe to one of the RSS feeds to the right - we recommend MyYahoo or MyMSN.

If nothing comes up, there is always the public sale on Saturday. Coldplay tickets are still available for most of the other cities that have already gone on sale. Vegas and the two SoCal shows are expected to sell out, but if you are there right as the sale starts, you should have no problem getting tickets even if they are not presale tickets.

Rolling Stones to get a Bigger Bang in Europe

The Rolling Stones are going to tour Europe, according to the band's website. The European dates of the Bigger Bang Tour are listed below. Don't fall into the same trap as many North American fans did - that is, don't wait to join the fan club. The Rolling Stones picked a random cutoff date before their North American presales started...

...anyone who joined before that date, got early, early access to presale tickets. Everyone else got in a couple of days later. Who knows when or if they will decide on a cutoff, but, if you want good tickets, join now at Rollingstones.com. They will give you a full refund if you wind up not buying tickets so you have nothing to lose.

Here are the dates that have been announced so far. Presales start today so check the link at the bottom of this post to find out when tickets for your city go on sale:

U2 Concerts in New Zealand and Australia Confirmed

U2 has announed that it will indeed visit Australia and New Zealand next fall for the first time in 8 and 12 years respectively. The shows are part of the Vertigo tour.

The general sale for the Australian show will happen Monday December 5. They will play the following cities and tour dates:

Tuesday March 21 Brisbane Queensland Sports & Athletics Centre

Friday March 24 Melbourne Telstra Dome

Tuesday March 28 Adelaide AAMI Stadium

Friday March 31 Sydney Telstra Stadium

Ticket prices will be $99 for General Admission to the stadium field area and reserved seats will be between $99 and $199.

U2 is supposedly going to release ticket outlet details tomorrow. The best way to make sure you get the update is to subscribe to one of our RSS feed through My Yahoo, MY MSN or one of the feedreaders to the right - this will bring the news right to your desktop.

U2 will celebrate St. Patrick's Day in New Zealand, playing one show at Auckland's Ericcson Stadium on March 17. The last time U2 last played New Zealand was on December 4, 1993 at Western Springs in Auckland.

For presale tickets, U2 is only e-mailing the information to residents of the countries where the show is going to take place. For the North American tour, there was a cutoff deadline that determined "old members" and "new members". Old members were given ticketing preference.
Since we are based out of the U.S. we will not be getting the e-mail for Australian or New Zealand shows. If anyone knows whether or not it is too late to join the fan club, please e-mail us at tickethorde@gmail.com or just post a comment on this post. Thanks and good luck.

We will have an update on ticket sales for the Australian and New Zealand Vertigo shows tomorrow after it is announced by U2.

Toby Keith Fan Club Presale Ticket Discount Opportunity

For anyone that may be looking into going to the Toby Keith Big Throwdown Tour II when it comes to town, we found a deal you should be interested in. Toby Keith Fan Club tickets, typically among the best to any show, are available to fan club members only. They actually force you to log in to your account so they can control who can and cannot buy tickets, thus preventing non-members from using passwords inappropriately.

At any rate, it just got cheaper to join the fan club. The following password: FCsave25 will save you 25% off your fan club membership. Normal cost is $25 so it brings the cost down to below $20. If you buy two tickets through Ticketmaster, you will probably pay that much in fees alone, so it seems worth it. Use this link to join the Toby Keith Fan Club Ticket sign-up.

Billy Joel Tour Dates to Decrease in Future

Billy Joel recently made comments that were blown up in the media to be a "retirement" message. Joel clarified that while he is clearly not ready for retirement, he would put an end to year-long tours.

In his own words:

"What I said ... was that I didn't want to do these long, grueling tours anymore," Joel explained. "I have been touring 35 years now, and I just got tired of the long tours--9 months, [a] year-and-a-half on the road. I just got too homesick and, it is too strange of a life. So, I said, 'I'm not going to do these long tours anymore.' So, I stopped and just started doing a few concerts in a small amount of time."

Billy Joel currently has dates scheduled for a U.S. tour that starts in early January and continues at least through April. There are a lot of empty dates between the beginning and end of the tour, so many of them will presumably be filled. But Joel's desire to take it easy may mean not all of them will be filled.

We'll update when we know more!

Tip for Getting Good Billy Joel Tickets today

Billy Joel tickets go on sale for Madison Square Garden today and it is probably going to be a hard-to-get show...here's a tip for you though. New York Yankee season ticket holders and New York Rangers Season ticket holders were sent an order form to get tickets for the Billy Joel concert as a perk for being season ticket holders.

But that's not the tip.

The forms mentioned that if tickets were not available, they would be filled for a concert in the same venue on a different day.

That means they are planning on having what are called "rollover" dates. This is important for two reasons. First, the show that has already been announced is on a Tuesday and the new shows could be closer to a weekend. Also, because not everyone knows there will be rollovers, it gives you less competition if you go for one of those shows - that means better seats!

Here is the strategy we recommend.

Try getting tickets for the January 23rd show. IF you like them, of course, you should buy them. If you DON'T like them, wait. About five minutes after the first show goes on sale, go to the Billy Joel Tickets page on Ticketmaster. Refresh it every minute or so and you will see new dates show up. You can go to that page and purchase tickets with a lot less competition, which almost always means better seats.

We are positive there will be rollover dates for Madison Square Garden. For acts like Billy Joel, there are often roll overs in the neighboring cities too: Philly and East Rutherford. It's hard to tell if there will be for other cities though, so it might be best to just buy what you get on your first try in other cities.

Good luck everyone!

Good News for U2 Fans - Band Might Come Back in 2006

Nothing has been confirmed yet - this is purely speculative, but Live Daily, the official news website of Ticketmaster dropped some serious hints about U2 possibly coming back to North America after hitting other parts of the globe this spring.

You can read the U2 News Update for yourself and interpret it as you wish. But we believe Livedaily has better things to do than to spread rumors about things that are not going to happen!

Billy Joel Releases Tour Dates

Here are the first of the dates released:

January 10 Jacksonville Veteran's Memorial Arena
January 12 Tampa St. Pete Times Forum
January 19 Boston TD Bank North Garden
January 23 New York Madison Square Garden
March 7 Philadelphia Wachovia Center

All of the shows listed above will go on sale through Ticketmaster this Saturday.

MSG officials have indicated that there is a strong possibility of more shows being announced for New York.

Coldplay Ticket Brokers Busted!

Coldplay sent an e-mail out to fan club members saying they were wable to find and cancel the presale password requests of 3 major corporate brokers, freeing up thousands of tickets for fans. Way to go!

Some fans have expressed disappointment though, at the quality of the tickets reserved for fans. Not everyone got good seats. That means there will probably be a decent selection left over for the public sales on Saturday and Monday. Good luck to everyone!

Coldplay to Play KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas!

KROQ announced today that Coldplay will be playing the second night of their annual Almost Acoustic Christmas special on December 11 at the Gibson Amphitheatre. Other performers on night two will include Depeche Mode and Jack Johnson. Any of these artists could singlehandedly sell out the Gibson Amphitheatre. Suffice it to say this will be a tough ticket. Good luck to everyone!

Check out the lineup for both nights here.

Aerosmith Continues to Roll Out More Tour Dates

Aerosmith announced a few more dates to sell this week. A lot of folks are taking their chances with Ticketmaster, but the Aerosmith Fan Club, Aeroforce1, is also offering presale tickets.

All of the ticketing is done through their website. The main difference between buying fan club tickets and presale tickets from Ticketmaster is that your do not know your seat locations until you get your tickets mailed to you a couple weeks before the show.

The fan club, will however, tell you what sections your seats will be in.

You can join the Fan Club at the Platinum Level for $59.99 or at the Gold Level for $29.99. All Platinum orders are filled in the order of longevity...older members get better tickets. When Platinum orders are filled, they move to Gold Members, again giving priority to members who joined first.

Since the fan club is several years old, you can become a platinum member and still get average or below seats for cities like Boston and New York. But for smaller markets, you can still get tickets within the first 10 or so rows from the stage.

It's a crap shoot in some ways, but you can roll the dice at the table of your choosing! Good luck.

Coldplay Fan Club and Amex Presale Details

Coldplay just announced the process for accessing presale tickets for 2006 tour dates. The process is the same as it was in the summer. Each fan club member was sent an e-mail, allowing them to request access to the presale in their city. Now, a random drawing will determine who from the pool of applicants gets a chance to buy tickets.

It may be too late to get the e-mail now, but if you are not a fan club member yet, you can join at Coldplay.com. They do not charge anything.

We have also confirmed secondary presale information for the following cities:

1/31/06 - OAKLAND ARENA Oakland, CA
2/1/06 - HP PAVILION San Jose, CA
3/3O/06 - UNITED CENTER Chicago, IL

For each of these three shows, there will be an American Express presale in addition to the fan club presale. That means three total chances to get great seats. Scroll down to our post from three days ago for more information on Amex presales.

Billy Joel will Tour in 2006

He has not made the official announcement yet, but Billy Joel will tour in 2006. Dates and venues will probably be announced shortly, but we have been able to confirm one show - that is January 23rd at Madison Square Garden.

Joel has not toured since 2001-2002 when he teamed up with Elton John on the Face to Face Tour. That tour spanned the country and featured 64 dates, with nearly 30 of them falling on the eastern seaboard. We are expecting a slightly less ambitious run this time, but with shows that will appeal more to the long-time Joel fans.

Ticket Brokers Already Advertising Coldplay Tickets

Ads for Coldplay tickets have already started popping up all over the internet. For their summer tour, tickets reached prices 0f up to $700 each on some ticket broker web sites. They will probably get close to that for the spring tour as well.

Luckily there should be plenty of opportunities to get Coldplay tickets for face value. It looks like there will be at least two presales and a public sale for each show. We will try to get some details firmed up and get them posted.

INXS Fan Club Presales

You have reached an outdated page. Please click here to see our most recent presale password and presale code listings.

INXS fan club presales continue today and tomorrow with on-sales for shows in the following cities:

Feb 13 New York, NY - Avery Fisher Hall - Fan Club Presale: Wed., Nov. 9 at 10 am EST
Feb 20 Norfolk, VA - Chrysler Hall - Fan Club Presale: Wed., Nov. 9 at 10 am EST
Feb 21 Charlotte, NC - Ovens Auditorium - Fan Club Presale: Wed., Nov. 9 at 10 am EST
Feb 22 Atlanta, GA - Civic Center - Fan Club Presale: Wed., Nov. 9 at 10 am EST
Feb 24 Jacksonville, FL - Florida Theater - Fan Club Presale: Tues., Nov. 8 at 10 am EST
Feb 25 Clearwater, FL - Ruth Eckerd Hall - Fan Club Presale: Tues., Nov. 8 at 10 am EST
Feb 26 Boca Raton, FL - Mizner Amphitheater - Fan Club Presale: Wed., Nov. 9 at 10 am EST

Here is the deal with INXS fan club presales: You have to be a member of their site (cost is approx. $25) to get access to tickets. Your password will be generated by their website just as tickets go on sale. Your password will be unique. It is different from other members passwords and your password if you buy more than one show will be different for every show.

What that means is it is not the kind of password that you can just pass around as with a lot of other passwords. You actually have to join the fan club.

The good news is you can join it after you see your tickets. If you just go to the Ticketmaster page and use the top drop-down box, you can pay for your fan club at the same time as you purchase the tickets. If you don't like your seats, you can save the $25!

Good luck!

How do I access an American Express Presale?

Amex presales are relatively easy if you have an American Express card. You simply use the password AMEX or type in the toll free number that is printed on the back of your card when the presale starts and you will be given access.

The only stipulation is that you have to pay with an American Express card. There is no way around this as Ticketmaster will not even let you choose to enter a different card number.

Amex presales are sometimes denoted as an Amex Gold Presale. These presales are supposedly meant just for Gold or Platinum members, but they have been known to work for any Amex card holder.

Good luck!
