The Police Presale Information

Yes, the big news of the spring is now official: The Police will tour in 2007 and presales start tomorrow. There are a variety of presales and a variety of ways to access them, so read what we know below and check back often for updates. Not everyone will have access to all presales.

The Police Tour Dates - The following are the original tour dates announced for The Police North American tour. For an updated list, please visit the Police tour page here.

28 May GM Place, Vancouver BC
06 Jun Key Arena, Seattle WA
09 Jun Pepsi Center, Denver CO
15 Jun MGM Grand Garden, Las Vegas, NV
16 Jun Bonnaroo Festival, Manchester, TN
18 Jun US Airways Arena, Phoenix, AZ
26 Jun American Airlines Center, Dallas, TX
30 Jun New Orleans Arena, New Orleans, LA
02 Jul Scottrade Center, St. Louis, MO
22 Jul Air Canada Centre, Toronto, ON
25 Jul Bell Centre, Montreal, PQ
28 Jul Fenway Park, Boston, MA
01 Aug Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
03 Aug Madison Square Garden, New York, NY

The Police Best Buy Presales - Ok, to disappoint everyone right off the bat (don't shoot the messenger - we'd give everyone access if we could), if you are not already a RewardZone member at Best Buy (you would know if you were and would probably carry a Reward Zone card in your wallet) it's too late for you to access this presale. The presale is only available to people who were members before February 1, 2007. It is likely that the passwords will be unique, so that means there is no way around this requirement. You can try the password REWARD or REWARDZONE on Tuesday as they have been passwords for Best Buy presales for other artists in the past. But Ticket Horde has been doing this for a while, and this has every indication that they have changed their system and are now using unique passwords.

The Police Fan Club Presales - Good news - Bad news: First the good: Anyone can access this presale. Now the bad: It's going to cost you $100. If you join the fan club for $100, you will get access to tickets. The good news is that even if you join now, you can still get access. Go nuts!

The Police Fan Club Bundle Presales - Apparently, The Police and Ticketmaster have come up with yet another way to ensure more money coming in. They no longer allow you to look at tickets before you buy them when doing a joint ticket and fan club membership purchase on the first fan club presale day. They are trying to get people to join blindly first. We still think there will be plenty of tickets for anyone who joins today, but there is not guarantee. Boo on The Police and Ticketmaster for doing this...you're already getting an extra $100 for nothing.

The Police Free Presales - These are the good passwords - well sort of. The passwords are free but the ticket selection won't be as good and there is no guarantee there will be a free presale in every city. If it makes you feel any better, our professional opinion is that there probably will be a free presale password for almost every city, so if you just want the cheapest tickets possible and want to avoid paying the $100, you are probably safe waiting for the chance at a free presale. None have been announced yet though, so if you want to know the password as soon as it is announced, download our free ticket toolbar to get an instant update.

Staples Center free venue presale password is BOTTLE

The Police Amex Presales - These are another good option and are free - the catch is you have to pay with an Amex card. See our post about American Express presales for more details.

I just received my BesyBuy promo code for the presale tomorrw for the "Police" tour. It's a combination of various numbers and lower and upper case letters~ I'd be interested to see if the same code was sent to everybody or if each person recieved a different one.

Is it a combination of sensible numbers and letters? Like POLICE2007 or it random?

It's a unique code for everyone. It's just random numbers/letters combination, some upper case, some lower case...basically, u aren't gonna figure one out

Complete jibberish

The code that Best Buy emailed out yesturday is good for 2 tickets to the Vancouver, Montreal, or Toronto show. Thanks for the craigs list tip, I think everyone received different codes and in the fine print of the Terms and Conditions it says:

"Any attempt by any person to obtain more than the stated number of Ticketmaster Presale Codes or presale tickets by using multiple/different email accounts or any other methods will void all of that person’s transactions and that person will be disqualified from participating in the promotion. Any misuse or suspected fraudulent use will void Ticketmaster Presale Code. Any Ticketmaster Presale Codes obtained as a result of printing, production, typographical, human or other error shall be deemed null and void."

So trying to use it more than once won't work and will just lose you your 1st two tickets

I have a Best Buy Rewards account but did not validate the code yet. Any specific location would be the best to use it on? Las Vegas?? Hartford?

What show would it be best to use the promo code on? LA? Vegas? Hartford?

oh this has plssed me off so badly. Now the 'bundle' package presale has moved to tomorrow - talk about moving the goalposts.

So badly administered and the ticket scalpers have got this one sewn up....

Anyone receive a fan club password yet?

How about a fan club password? Does anyone know that one? I would love to know it!!

i dont know what the big deal is, everyone is so concerned about money people....how about just telling us the password...you got your tickets already,,,pay it forward, i know i'll do something to pay it forward

Ticket Horde said...

RE: Paying it forward - I think you might have misread the post. There is no password that people can share. When people join the Police fan club they get a UNIQUE password that can only be used once. Once they use it, it becomes invalid. It's not like the free presales we often see where everyone's password is the same. Hope this clears it up.

Plus...these are FAN CLUB PRESALES TODAY. Meaning, unlike the bestbuy presale, 99% of these people are true fans. They want tickets and therefore will not be giving away their presale passowrd

You need to go to thepolicetour.com, then fork over $100 for the password. Then, through the website, you get the tickets with that password. My friends and I wanted 8 tickets. I had to spend $200 because each password is only good for 4 tickets, and they have to be bought all at once. The best buy promo tickets are all gone. That was your only chance at sharing codes, and that was just if you were lucky enough to know someone with a best buy rewards card who didn't like the Police. It's impossible to share the police fan club codes. By the way, my seats at MSG suck pretty bad. I love the Police but they're really squeezing every dime out of their fans with this gig.

My plan is to save the $100 on the ridiculous fan club presale and put that towards buying them from a scalper. Ticketmaster and all their extra fees BLOW.
