One of the original American punk bands, Social Distortion, will be playing shows up and down the west coast in 2008. Though the band hasn't released an album since 2004 with Sex, Love, and Rock n' Roll, they're rumored to be working on a new record for 2008.
All 4 shows originally scheduled for the Fillmore in San Francisco quickly sold out, so the band added 2 more to the end of the tour. They'll be back in SF at the beginning of February, and you can get presale tickets for both of those shows on Thursday morning.
