Red Sox Tickets to go on sale Saturday

Make sure the coffee's on because it is that time of year again - time to sit around in the Virtual Waiting Room waiting to get Red Sox tickets. Tickets will go on sale Saturday for June, July and August games. Details are on RedSox.com. Don't forget, give yourself as many chances as possible to get in to the Virtual Waiting Room. You can maximize your chances by

1. Using every desktop and laptop at your disposal.
2. Using IE, Mozilla and Opera on each computer.
3. Opening up as many windows as possible in each browser (about 40 in IE and Mozilla and however many you can get in Opera.)

Don't be one of those fools who complains Sunday morning that you had five whole windows open and never got through the Virtual Waiting Room. We'll tell you right now - if you only have five windows open, you will never get into the Virtual Waiting Room.

It should take you between 15 and 60 minutes to get ready for the on-sale if you do it right, so start early....and yes, borrow your friends laptops if you can...use every computer you can to get through the Virtual Waiting Room.

I WAS one of those people that only had 1 window open during the SoxPax onsale, & was waiting 6 hours before I finally got through. So if I use more than 1 window for the virtual waiting room, it WONT keep resetting/voiding itself, ala Ticketmaster if you have more than 1 window trying to purchase? Thanks!

I got screwed out of Mets playoff tickets last year because I had multiple browser windows open and it was detected. I had to get back in line. Is this not the case with the Sox?

The Mets are a different story altogether. They don't use Tickets.com and hence do not have a Virtual Waiting Room...it's a little different for them.

With the Mets you can have three different browsers open, but only one window per browser. In other words: One window in IE, One in Opera and One in Mozilla.

With the Mets though, it is very easy to get errors even if you don't have too many windows open. When their servers get hit hard, they are pretty worthless.

Success! After following instructions by the omniscient TicketHorde, I was indeed successful. I had 5 browsers open, with 8 tabs a piece, thus ~40 windows. Around 10:10 I got the nod, 4 Infield Grandstand tickets to the 6/15 Game against the Giants.

Come to think about, Bonds isn't soo bad after all, well, for my wallet at least :)

Good luck fellow hordes..

Nice, glad it worked out for you.

They choose by IP, not by "browser session", so you're not enhancing your chances, at all.
