Chicago Bears Presale Password

The Chicago Bears are having a Club Seat holder presale on Friday, just as they did last year. The presale password has not been announced yet, but we will post it here as soon as we know it.

Update:

An e-mail like the following was sent out by the Bears:

You can try if you want to, but...

"FROM TICKETMASTER REGARDING THE CHICAGO BEARS PRESALES...

As a valued Club Season Ticket Holder, we would like to offer you the only opportunity to purchase individual game Club Seat tickets before the general public for the Bears 2006 season at Soldier Field.

This special offer is available for only one day exclusively to Club Season Ticket Holders!

To redeem offer:

1. Click on Find Tickets.
2. Look for box marked 'CHICAGO BEARS PRESALE'.
3. Enter your ROFR password* (located in your email).
4. Select number of tickets (limit two) and price level.
5. Follow remaining steps for purchasing. If you are interested in purchasing tickets for multiple games, you must complete the buying process for each individual game and you must re-enter your password for each game you would like to purchase tickets.

*NOTE: YOUR PASSWORD WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED ONCE PER GAME"

The wording of the e-mail makes it sound like it is a unique password, but we have reason to believe this may just be facade. We'll post an update later today after we have a chance to check with sources.

I've heard that they're using unique passwords this year, but I'm quite anxious to hear definitively. Thanks.

Is this only for "Season Ticket Holders" ?? If I get the password am I able to purchase these tickets ?

We are not sure yet. Last year, they used a generic password. This year may be different. We will update as soon as we know something definitive.

as someone else asked, what if you're not a Season Ticket holder...can you still buy tix if you have the password. Wouldn't it be pretty easy for them to figure out if you're not a season ticket holder when someone who is didn't get their tickets??

Often passwords are not announced the night before or morning of a presale. The Raiders presale passwords were announced at 9:45 yesterday for a 10:00 on sale, so we'll have to contain our excitement a bit! :-).

The best way to make sure you get the info. right away is to download the ticket toolbar at http://ticket.ourtoolbar.com.

Some teams check the list of buyers against their season ticket holder list. We do not know of any cases in which the Bears have done this. Again, this presale is a Club Seat holder presale, but we know nothing else yet. We'll do everything we can to get any tid bits we can and announce them right away.

The presale is only for the club seats (cost $215-$340 a ticket... Ouch!) Looks like the best advice would be to call a TM out of state on Sat and hope for the best =)

1. Yes.
2. Half the fun of selling tickets is doing the research...When your not sure about an event, check the market and see what similar seats are going for now. The beauty of this on sale is that we know it is club seats that will be released. How are Club Seats doing on Stubhub/eBay so far? Is there even room for a profit? If there is, do I have the cash flow to wait until game time to sell them if I need to? Are the tickets priced at a level I feel comfortable investing in? How many other sellers will buy tickets and how flooded will that make the market?

We can answer the first question - there seems to be some room for profit on these at this point - but you must answer the others.

According to TM, the prices are from $250-375, but you do need the ROFR Password. I don't know what the password is, but maybe someone else can figure it out.
