Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will attempt round 2 of their presale ticketing process today for Madison Square Garden, among other venues. Yesterday, someone forgot to pass the unique passcodes on to Ticketmaster (or perhaps Ticketmaster just forgot to validate them). Hundreds of fans were left confused at their computers wondering why they had just spent $30 to get access to the tickets.
Some time around noon eastern, the problem was fixed and without warning the tickets went on sale. People who did not have three hours to dedicate to the process lost out as the presale tickets sold out almost immediately.
Today's presale should be less complicated. It is a generic password: the word is companion. Tickets will likely not be AS good, but should still be some of the better ones in the house. Good luck.
