White Stripes Cancel US Shows

The White Stripes have bowed out of plans to tour the US in September and October at shows mostly in the West, including Hawaii and Alaska. On their website the band claims acute anxiety preventing travel has sidelined drummer Meg White, and it hasn't been revealed if the shows will be rescheduled. Fans can return tickets to the ticket seller for a refund.

As yet, the European tour, set to begin after the completion of the US tour is on as scheduled. The White Stripes had already hit several states in the Eastern US and territories in Canada they'd never performed in before. The band was touring behind their summer release, Icky Thump.

The White Stripes Presale Passwords

The White Stripes are going on sale this fall in support of their latest album. There will be a couple of presales on Friday. The password for the Aragon Ballroom shows in Chicago will be JACKMEG for the JamMail presale. The radio station presale will use the password ICKYTHUMP. The September 19 concert will also have a presale on Friday. That password is FORUM.

There will be a presale for the White Stripes at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley on Thursday. The free presale password is CONQUEST. Check back for presale passwords for other venues as we will update them as soon as we know about them.
