Just wondering if you know how strict ticketmaster is with posted ticket limits for internet ticket sales. How likely is it that they will cancel your orders (if you purchase over the limit) and if they do will they cancel all of your order of just the number of tickets you are over the limit? Will they cancel e-tickets that they have already emailed. And how and when would a person know their order has been cancelled.
Thanks for the help,
Seth
Anyone care to chime in on this one? Our lawyer won't let us answer except for the last part: If your order is cancelled for being over the limit, the only way to know for sure is to check your ticketmaster order history. It will say "This order has been cancelled" where it usually says "Your tickets have been printed and shipped." Over-the-limit cancellations have never been accompanied by a phone call or e-mail in our experience.

I GO OVER THE LIMIT ON AN ONGOING BASIS. SOMETIMES THEY GET ME, MOST OF THE TIMES THEY DONT. I USE 3 DIFFERENT CREDIT CARDS WHICH I THINK HELPS. THERE ALL TO THE SAME ADDRESS. SOMETIMES THEIR SYSTEM TAKES A DAY OR SO TO SPIT OUT THE ONES OVER THE LIMIT.
I have gone over the limit also on many occassions, but after a few experiences I stopped. Twice ticketmater has sent me the tickets to the event (hard copy), and then I have sold those tickets to customers, only to realize ticketmaster canceled those tickets and made them invalid about a week before the event, which I was unaware of. This caused big problems as my customers went to the game and couldn't get in, only to come back yelling and screaming at me threatening to sue me. I have now learned my lesson and realized this could happen again at any time to anyone. They check randomly and im sure its automated, but you can get your orders canceled even if you were already sent actually tickets from ticketmaster.
It's not worth it. Getting great seats is better than getting none at all. TM will cancel orders, depends on the show from what I've seen, they will invalidate e-Tickets.
I've never gotten caught. My biggest purchase was for 23 separate orders, using just 2 cards. All to the same address. No problem.
