Today's ticketing tip is about the Ticketmaster 7 minute wait. We have gotten a few e-mails lately from folks who have noticed something interesting about ticketmaster's release of good tickets.
Apparently, the tickets released right at the beginning of a typical on-sale are not the best that they release that day. Some of our readers have noticed that about 7 minutes after the on-sale (it works for presales for sure, but no one has said anything about public sales) a batch of even better tickets are released.
We tested it today and it actually worked for three different shows. Our first ticket offers were lower level near the back of the venues but our later offers were side stage seats and floor seats. Definitely going to use this tip.
The risk with this strategy of course is that the show could sell out while you are waiting for the 7th minute, but the reward is better tickets than you imagined you would have gotten.
